A pungent nose of reduction and subtle wood makes clear that it is clear need of a thorough aeration if you're going to open a bottle young in the interest of 'science'. The succulent but solidly punchy medium weight plus flavors terminate in a moderately austere, compact and focused finale that delivers both fine depth and persistence. This is really quite good though like the Ech, a wine built for long-term cellaring. (Burghound, 93 Pts)
