Carillon of the Angelus is the second wine of Château Angelus, recently promoted to the top of its name alongside chateaux Ausone and Cheval Blacn. Born with the year 87 , this wine represents about 20% of the production of the property and results a blend of the two Cabernets, the franc and sauvignon, always with at least a half Merlot grape variety from Saint-Emilion.
The vineyards of this wine receive the same care as those producing the Château Angelus and harvested by hand and sorted with great care, for vinification in stainless steel tanks and aged for 12 to 14 months in new oak barrels and wine.
The result is a second wine of great class, with a wooded elegant, gourmet palate, silky tannins, length, freshness and all the know-how of a name among the most famous. Fastest to drink than its predecessor, though it may stay for many years in your cellar. (Le Figaro Vin)
